Not Transformers Vette....Now 50th Stingray
November 01 2009 12:25:16 AM EST
New images of Corvette's future have emerged from GM. PR copy suggests these renderings, and a renaming to "The 50th Anniversary Corvette Stingray Concept”, mark a progressing evolution of the Transformers design. Others caught the story here and here, so far.

But, didn't Ed Welburn flat out say, "That car [eg- Transformers] is not the next Corvette."?

So, what's the point here with this new rendering-work? We expect it's the split-window [Remember Ed said, "The split-window is something that I expect for the next Corvette."]

.....AND testing the 'reaction waters' as to how overt the C2-look fenders, greenhouse, V-back fastback can be taken into the C7. But, how / when / on what chassis / with what power are equally important vs just a 'new' throw-back look.

Which BTW, we feel even the NFL should stop, as THEIR 50th celebration 'step-into-history' got the Denver Broncos adorned in THESE [milk] duds!

How many times will GM bang their head against this wall?! It looked uglier and sounded uglier in the movie than it did on paper! If anything improve off the LS9 (if that can even be done!) and honor the old stingray's not smash it into a Jetson's car at 200mph!
