We understand the car won @ RoadAmerica in 2006. We covered its Spa 2008 win. Seems 2 other victories are also accrued to THIS C6R [LMS and FFSA wins].
It's sad to see a car with such a rich pedigree die off the track. At least it was still being raced instead of sitting in a hermetically controlled basement somewhere.

The brakes bound on the rig causing the fire.....the rig had just been "fixed" by a German garage the previous day.....so technically the Germans are to blame not the French. LAA will get the rig and what is left of the car back later this month once the insurance is sorted at which point they will see whether the 003 can be rebuilt even if only for display purposes.
